About Gabrielle
Essay writing sounds like an incredibly strange passion for a Sport Science student, but it's genuinely one of my favourite hobbies. I spent most of lockdown writing short stories, redoing old GCSE and A-Level essays and helping my friends out with their personal statements and Cover Letters before being asked to tutor friends' kids and siblings for their English exams. Research essays for A-Level Psychology and PE were my strong points, not to mention all the creative writing and analysis for Film Studies. I'd love to work with anyone looking for someone to proofread/critique work or to help develop writing skills and confidence!

I focus on helping students expand their style and proficiency at writing beyond their comfort zones, useful for exams, personal statements and essay-based coursework. Lessons will usually span 30 to 60 minutes, looking at essay writing skills, breaking down and building on past pieces of work and developing a student's confidence in writing. My experience from achieving A*s in iGCSE English and English Literature, as well as A-Level Film Studies, will aid students starting secondary school all the way up to A-Levels (where I also acted as a peer mentor for personal statement writing).
