About Chloe
I am an undergraduate Biochemistry student (minoring in psychology) and I'm keen on helping others to achieve their potential as others have helped me before. I took psychology at GCSE (grade 8 - equivalent of A/A*) and A-Level where I graduated with an A*. Weekend mornings and weekday nights work best for me since I should not be in lectures, but I will try my best to fit my schedule around yours. I have seen many cases where a student is capable of revising on their own, yet bringing themselves to do so is difficult therefore having someone to guide them and sit with them can do wonders, bringing out their work ethic and potential. I also find that practiving exam questions is not the most thrilling, but certainly the most vital in achieving good grades, and hence it might take a gentle nudge in the right direction to form this helpful habit. I hope I can do this for you or your child, please give me a try! :)

I have a two-tier approach to psychology lessons: first is the foundational knowledge and understanding of core principles and modules. Next, and arguably most important, is the exam technique which I focus on heavily because it is easily the difference between two or so grades at least in my experience. Following this approach, I like to start by maximising understanding by talking through psychological processes and knowledge (often assisted with diagrams and flow charts). After this, I focus of consolidating previously learnt knowledge by having the student complete exam questions and essays (both open and closed book) which I will mark for the next session (or mark with the student) to allow them to see ways in which they can improve. I find this method very effective, try it for yourself and see! (first lesson is free)
