About Leandra
I have been a tutor for over 4 years and have tutored students from 7-65 years old in a variety of subjects. I have mainly tutored math (algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus (1 & 2), science (anatomy and physiology, biology, general chemistry, and medical assistant certification exams), English (basic grammar, phonics, reading comprehension, American and British literature, writing composition), and U.S. history. I adapt to students and their needs based on educational level and learning style. My specific rules are no phones or calculators (with some exceptions for harder subjects), as they tend to be a distraction, and reliance on calculators regresses basic math literacy.

I like to review current and previous material to get a grasp of where the student is when it comes to specific topics. It's important that a student understands basic concepts before progressing to advanced topics. I have tutored students from ages 7 to 65 and adapt to their education level and learning style. I have particularly been an early learner and special needs instructor at several learning centers and acknowledge that every student has their own struggles and difficulties.
