About Kelly
I am a current second year undergraduate law student at university and I have an A-Level qualification in Law at an A grade. I am studying to become a future solicitor and throughout my studies I have found such a profound love and interest for the subject. Through tutoring, I hope to instil some of my passion for law in you and help you to enjoy the subject much more whilst also helping you improve in the subject to get you that A* you're striving for!
I have previous experience tutoring in Law as during A-Levels I would help my friends and classmates understand topics that they were struggling in to the best of my ability. I also have experience in giving advice for how to structure and answer exam questions as I would usually proof read or suggest points to classmates' essays. After 3 years of studying law and sitting numerous exams, I can safely assure you that I know the key points that examiners look for and I can help you cut down your essays and time writing those essays so that all the important information remains without you needing to waste time and include valueless information during your exams.

I offer ONLINE A-Level Law tutoring and my lessons would typically be 1 hour long, but it could be more depending on how much time you would like it to be. Before teaching, I'd like to get to know you first and what area in the subject that you struggle with in particular and that you think that I can help you with. Once we establish your problem areas, I will then go on to planning the lesson around the topic you struggle with.
If you struggle with the actual content, I will happily walk you through the topic with an easy to understand step-by-step format with the necessary cases along with it. During my studies, I found that if I learnt the content and it's key elements as a check-list in the order that you would need to write an essay with it would be more comprehensible, easier to remember and apply in your exams. This is how I would teach you the topics - as an ordered check-list that would guide you in the exam. In this case, the majority of the lesson would cover these steps and the rest of the lesson would be you practicing to apply this check-list to exam questions in order to solidify your knowledge and give you the necessary experience you need for when you sit the exams.
On the other hand, if you know the content but struggle with how to answer questions I can help with this too! I'll go through practice questions with you each lesson, one topic per lesson. For example, one lesson would be full of how to answer questions on non-fatal offences. Typically in the first 5-10 minutes of the lesson we'll go through a brief overview of the chosen topic to make sure you know the necessary knowledge. I will then teach you a writing structure, walk you through how to apply and answer a few questions and the rest of the lesson will be based around practice questions and you applying that structure and knowledge yourself.
