About Fiona
I have a PhD in Pharmacology from King's College London and a first class degree from Oxford University in Biochemistry. I have extensive academic writing experience having published over 10 primary research articles and written three reviews and one book chapter on topical aspects of my research. I know exactly what is required to write 1st class projects as received 1st class marks in all my coursework at university whilst studying biochemistry and acted as second marker for final year Pharmacology projects at King's College London. I have helped many biomedical undergraduate and PhD students to improve their writing and critical analysis and gain top marks. I have also supervised many student projects so have helped students right from the beginning of the dissertation process. I have delivered lectures and tutorials on a wide range of biomedical topics at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the UK and Canada. I have also run practical science demonstrations for university students. I am a friendly and patient tutor. I benefitted from one-on-one tutoring at Oxford University and feel that this personalised approach can enhance learning for every student. I am ready to work with students to help them achieve their specific educational goals.

Perfect! Excellent tutor
I am so grateful to Fiona for her help in tutoring my daughter in maths, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics leading up to her GCSEs. Fiona was able to explain things in a way that she was able to understand. She had previously really struggled in these areas and lacked in confidence but Fiona really helped her. My daughter also really liked Fiona and was very happy to be taught by her.

Fiona is an amazing tutor who I was with for 3 years. She is a great teacher, explaining concepts in ways that make them very easy to understand, she always puts 100% into the sessions and is a lovely person to work with.
I have been having tuition from Fiona over the past 3-4 years and she has been brilliant - would give a 5-star recommendation. Some examples of the topics she has helped me with are; scientific writing, interpreting scientific papers, analysing results and presentation skills.
