About Timipre
I am a high-achieving Latin and Greek student, scoring 184 in OCR IGCSE Latin and 180 in OCR IGCSE Greek. Alongside strong academic results, I have practical tutoring experience, having worked with younger students at my school who went on to achieve Grade 7s and above.
My teaching focuses on clarity, structure, and exam technique. I help students master grammar systematically, approach unseen translations with confidence, and understand the logic behind complex sentences rather than relying on guesswork. Lessons are tailored, methodical, and focused on measurable improvement.

Latin, like chess, is a game of structure. Every ending, every clause, every construction has logic behind it. I train students to recognise those patterns quickly and confidently: spotting ablative absolutes as cleanly as tactics, unpacking periodic sentences step by step, and translating with accuracy under time pressure.
My focus is on three things:
• Clarity – breaking down complex syntax into manageable systems.
• Calculation – teaching students how to think through unseen passages methodically rather than guess.
• Confidence under pressure – especially important for OCR A Level verse and prose, where precision matters.
