About Deja
Hi! My name is Deja and I am a tutor who not only builds understanding in students, but creates confidence and a passion towards math in students. I understand how to make students grasp difficult concepts and procedures so that they are fully prepared to tackle their tests. As a student at UofT, I know what it takes to succeed and stand out in school. My goal is to make you or your child have not just passing, but competitive and impressive grades. I've had many math teachers, tutors, and professors (private and public education), so I know what good teaching feels like. I believe in recognizing the patterns and principles that are required to excel and feel confident.

As a student at the University of Toronto, I understand exactly what one needs to achieve success in a field that involves a deep understanding of math. A typical lesson plan would include the following: - A demonstration of basic principles using appropriate questions. - Time to reflect and see the WHY of what we are doing. - The ability to ask questions at any checkpoint so that we may connect the dots and understand the importance of each step. - Lastly, we will tackle a difficult question to apply the newly learned knowledge and skills to build confidence and readiness. I guarantee that you or your child will walk away from our sessions with a deeper understanding and a better attitude towards math. Not all tutors understand how to make you get the WHY and HOW, but I WILL.
