About Isabel
Hi everyone, my name is Isabel. I am a Human Biology student at UCSD. I have a strong background in the sciences and enjoy tutoring coursework such as CP and AP Biology, as well as any biomedical science classes. I enjoy helping students understand biology, not only as a subject, but also how it connects to the human body and real-world applications. My goal is to make learning approachable, engaging, and tailored to each student's needs. I know that struggling with a subject can be frustrating, but I strive to make it easier and, hopefully, share some of my love for the subject along the way!

I teach general science to students from elementary school to middle school, with a specialization in biology courses for 9th to 12th grade students. My sessions are online and personalized to fit each student's needs and learning style. A typical lesson will follow the student's curriculum, but is adapted to their pace, strengths, and areas for improvement. The sessions are centered around the students and their learning style, whatever that may be. I use a variety of approaches such as visual guides, presentations, practice problems, and step-by-step solutions. Every student has different learning needs and I like to cater to each of them to ensure the best result. Sessions typically last 1 to 2 hours, depending on the student's goal and schedule. I am also available for follow-up questions when needed outside of scheduled sessions.
