With a strong background in Math and Data Science, I specialize in tutoring elementary school students in Math from pre-K up to grade 6.
I prefer teaching through one or a combination of real-world examples, visual aids, interactive apps, and repetition to make learning engaging and effective, and to ensure long-term memory. Having worked with students from all grade levels, from preschool to 5th grade, I also provide differentiated instruction to ensure that my lessons are tailored to the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
I typically begin lessons by asking students, a day or two beforehand, if there are any specific topics they'd like to focus on. From there, I design a lesson plan that includes summarizing fundamental math topics, providing homework assistance, and, if time permits, offering additional practice problems to reinforce long-term memory.
