About Jai

Hello! My name is Jai, and I am excited to help you achieve your academic goals in math, computer science, and chemistry. As a premed student majoring in applied math at UCLA, I bring both a deep understanding of these subjects and a passion for teaching. With six years of tutoring experience, I have honed my ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner. My background includes research at prestigious institutions such as Weill Cornell, Rockefeller University, and Mount Sinai Hospital, which has enriched my knowledge and analytical skills. In high school, I led the computer science team and was a member of a highly competitive math team for eight years. These experiences have equipped me with the skills to tackle challenging problems and convey solutions effectively. I am committed to creating a positive and productive learning environment where students feel confident and supported. Whether you're a high school student or an early college learner, I tailor my lessons to meet your unique needs and learning style.

About the lesson

I use a student-centric approach, adapting my methods to suit each learner's needs and learning style. I use a mix of direct instruction, guided practice, and interactive activities to foster understanding and retention. I also integrate real-world applications and problem-solving exercises to make the material more relevant and engaging.

A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous material to reinforce learning and identify any areas needing further clarification. This is followed by an introduction to new concepts, using clear explanations and examples. Students then engage in guided practice, where they work on exercises with my support. The lesson concludes with independent practice and a summary to consolidate learning and address any remaining questions.

What sets me apart is my commitment to fostering a positive and motivating learning atmosphere. I strive to build confidence in my students by celebrating their progress and providing constructive feedback. My background in computer science, math and chemistry, combined with my passion for teaching, allows me to effectively convey complex concepts in an accessible manner
