About Peyton
Hi! My name is Peyton and I recently graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.A in Anthropology. I additionally was in the Lemelson Anthropological Honors Program there and conducted my own project which resulted in a hefty 30 page thesis! All of this to say, I know how to write and have spent a lot of my time doing it!

My writing journey started when I was in high school and received my first F. It was in my AP English class, and I remember my heart sinking when I saw the big fat 0 written on my first preparatory AP writing drill of the year. I felt so defeated.
However, this didn't stop me from coming back with a vengeance. By the end of the year, I was a 100% average in my AP English Literature class and received the award for Best AP English Literature Student that year.
I want to help students get to that same position, where by the time they get to their test they feel confident in their writing and literacy skills. When I'm your tutor, we approach writing from a personal and formulaic perspective that helps maintain perfection within the subject of AP English Literature.

As someone who got into UC Berkeley, UCLA, and UCSB, I'm very familiar with college essay writing and knowing what application readers want to see. When you work with me, we will dive deeper into how to professionally yet emotionally engage the reader, as well as portray yourself as a strong applicant.
