About Pasquali
I'm Pietro, and this September I'm starting an MSci in Physics and Astronomy at UCL. Physics has been the constant thread through school for me. I competed in the British Physics Olympiad and UK Maths Challenges, and spent a work placement at the National Physical Laboratory working on a single electron pump, exploring the quantum mechanics basics behind it. Tutoring is a way to pass some of that on: there's nothing quite like watching a concept finally click for someone.

Lessons are built around what the student actually needs, going back over topics that haven't landed, working through past papers, or focusing on exam technique as the exams get closer. I start by finding out where the gaps are rather than working through a syllabus from the beginning.
I teach method rather than memorisation. I'd rather a student understood why an approach works, because that's what lets them handle a question they haven't seen before. I'm patient, and I don't mind explaining the same idea three or four different ways until one of them lands.
Lessons usually run an hour, or ninety minutes for A-Level students working through full past papers. I can teach in person around Twickenham, Richmond, Teddington and Kingston, or online.
The lessons are for: Maths and Physics at GCSE and A-Level, including Further Maths, plus maths and arithmetic at primary and KS3 level. I'm bilingual in Italian and English, so I can also work with students who are more comfortable in Italian.
On qualifications, I've just finished my A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths and Physics achieving A*A*A* and completed an EPQ on quantum physics achieving A*. I sat these exact papers a few months ago, so I know the current specifications, the exam boards and what the mark schemes actually reward, and I remember which topics people get stuck on because I was working through them myself this year rather than a decade ago.
