About Vittorio
I am a UCL PhD and peer-reviewed published author offering Philosophy, Humanities and Social Sciences tutoring for A-Level and university students.
I help students who are struggling to turn good ideas into clear written work. Many of my students need support with essay structure, argument, close reading, dissertation planning, exam technique or simply understanding difficult texts without feeling lost.
My background is in Philosophy, with particular strengths in ethics, political philosophy, aesthetics, literature, narrative and interdisciplinary research. I have taught and mentored students at both A-Level and university level, and I enjoy making demanding material feel clearer, more manageable and more interesting.
My approach is rigorous but encouraging. I will not write the work for you, but I can help you understand what a strong argument looks like, how to organise your ideas, how to improve your academic style, and how to become more confident in your own thinking.

Lessons are tailored to the student’s level, subject and immediate goal.
For A-Level students, I can help with Philosophy, Religious Studies, ethics, political thought and related essay-based subjects. This may include understanding difficult concepts, revising key topics, planning essays, practising past-paper questions, improving exam technique and getting clearer about what assessment criteria actually require.
For university students, I can support essay planning, dissertation and thesis development, research questions, literature reviews, close reading, critical thinking, argument design, academic style, presentations, personal statements and university applications.
A typical session might involve working through a difficult text, discussing an essay question, improving a draft, planning a dissertation chapter, preparing for an exam, or breaking down feedback from a teacher or supervisor.
The aim is always practical: to leave the session with clearer ideas, a better structure, and a stronger sense of what to do next.
