About Abhinav
I have a genuine interest in helping students succeed and feel confident throughout what can be a very intense and competitive process. Applying to medicine can often feel overwhelming, and I remember how uncertain and unclear parts of it were when I first went through it myself.
That experience is a big reason why I want to teach — I want to make the process clearer, more structured, and far less intimidating for others. I enjoy breaking things down in a way that actually makes sense, whether that’s interview techniques, ethical reasoning, or how to present yourself effectively on paper.
I find it especially rewarding helping students go from feeling unsure to genuinely confident in their ability. My aim is not just to prepare students, but to help them understand what top universities are really looking for, so they can perform at their best and secure the offers they deserve.

My lessons are structured as focused 1-hour sessions tailored to each student’s stage in the application process. I offer a combination of mock medical interviews, comprehensive interview crash courses, and personal statement support.
For interview preparation, I run realistic mock interviews followed by detailed feedback, helping students refine their answers, structure, and delivery. As a current UCL medical student who has recently gone through the process, I have strong insight into the types of ethical scenarios, current affairs topics, and station styles commonly assessed.
My interview crash courses are designed to build a strong foundation before intensive practice. Many students jump straight into interview prep without fully understanding the core content and themes expected — something I experienced myself. These sessions ensure students develop the necessary medical awareness, ethical reasoning, and structured thinking required to perform confidently.
For personal statements, I provide targeted guidance based on my experience working with organisations supporting applicants, as well as my understanding of the evolving admissions process. With recent changes, many applicants (and even teachers) are unsure what is expected, but I help students clearly present their motivation, experiences, and reflection in a way that stands out to admissions tutors.
