About James
I'm a post year 13 student who has just done A levels. I was a medicine applicant and secured 3/4 offers with 4A*s predicted and 11 9s at GCSEs. It has been a very bumpy road and I’ve had many difficulties, but so many people have helped me on my journey to get to where I am today; I am so grateful for that and have learnt a lot from it. I’d really love to repay the favour and help others out in reaching their goals too. As someone who has recently been through the whole application themselves, I believe this puts me in an optimal position to identify your weaknesses and act on them with targeted practice, as I will have undoubtedly been faced with some of your challenges before!

I sat the UCAT in 2025 and scored in the 93rd percentile, which played a huge role in securing me 3/4 of my med offers from Cambridge, St Andrews and Exeter. I didn't have a natural aptitude for the UCAT so had to learn all the skills myself, whereby I learnt there is definitely a trainable element to answering the questions. I'd love to share the advice that served me so well in my journey with you guys and coach you through each subtest of the UCAT, no matter where you are in your prep. I can pinpoint exactly where you're making mistakes in mocks and offer tailored advice to resolve these specifically, whilst arming you with the knowledge and ability to review your own mistakes effectively - this analysis of your own strengths really supercharges your score.

James is my good friend and helped out massively during German for A Level. He would engage in speaking practice with me, and noticed my mistakes when I made them, but also gave me actionable feedback to ensure I wouldn't make that mistake again. He also corrected my written work, explaining to me exactly why what I wrote was wrong, and I found myself intuitively not making that mistake again because I knew why it was wrong, not just how. This brought my grade from a C (predicted at the end of year 12) to an A in year 13 mocks. He helped me reach my grade offer for my dream uni and I am endlessly thankful and couldn't recommend him enough.
