About Reagan
I’m a Philadelphia-based published author, poet, creative writing instructor, and multidisciplinary creative. Through my work with Sugar Poems, I create spaces that encourage self-expression, storytelling, and creative growth. I have experience teaching creative writing to children and adults, mentoring emerging writers, and helping creatives develop their work through writing, editing, and publishing guidance. As a two-time published author, I bring real-world experience into my teaching while helping each student strengthen their skills, build confidence, and find their unique voice.

My approach to teaching is centered around creativity, individuality, and making writing feel approachable. I believe everyone has a story to tell, and my goal is to help students develop the confidence and skills to tell theirs effectively. I use a combination of guided exercises, conversation, examples, constructive feedback, and hands-on writing activities tailored to each student’s goals and learning style.
A typical lesson may begin with discussing the student’s goals, followed by a writing exercise or skill-building activity, reviewing their work together, and ending with personalized feedback or something to work on between sessions.
What sets me apart is that I’m not only a teacher, but a published author, poet, creative writing instructor, and mentor. I bring real-world experience in writing, publishing, editing, and developing creative projects into my lessons.
