My name is Jacqueline Layet, and I am a recent high school graduate who completed the HSC Italian Continuers course. Italian
Language is an incredible skill which can open doors to new ways of thinking as well as create employment opportunities. I’m 2023, I placed 2nd in my school and scored a Band 6 in the HSC Italian Continuers course after learning Italian for all 6 years of high school. Italian is my first language which I speak at home. I voluntarily tutored during year 10 & 11 for community service at my high school, and after just weeks my students showed improvements in grades as well as attitudes towards learning. Languages can be extremely hard, and I wish to help all willing students improve their skills and fall in love with the Italian language.
