About Lucy
Hello! My name is Lucy, and I am a passionate and dedicated English language tutor committed to helping students achieve their language-learning goals in a supportive and encouraging environment.
I hold a 120-hour TEFL certification and have gained valuable teaching experience in two different English language schools, where I worked with learners from a variety of backgrounds, ages, and proficiency levels. These experiences have helped me develop effective teaching strategies that focus on communication, confidence-building, and practical language use.
I am currently in the final year of a Bachelor of Education degree in Irish and French, which has provided me with a strong foundation in language learning, teaching methodologies, and classroom practice. As a language learner myself, I understand the challenges students can face and aim to make lessons engaging, motivating, and tailored to individual needs.

My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching Methodology
I believe that learning English should be engaging, practical, and tailored to each student's individual goals. My lessons focus on building confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing through interactive activities, real-life conversations, and personalised learning materials.

Typical Length of a Lesson
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, allowing enough time to practise different language skills while maintaining focus and motivation. Longer sessions can be arranged if required.

I have experience supporting English language learners from a variety of linguistic and cultural backgrounds. My teaching approach is student-centred, emphasising communication, fluency, and practical language use.
