About Eleanor
I work at an Ofsted Outstanding (2023) catholic school, with five years of teaching experience and excellent GCSE results from a range of sets.
As a student, who had both ADHD and dyspraxia, I understand how frustrating it can be when you feel unable to tackle a specific subject or topic. The exam itself can be incredibly overwhelming, stressful and demoralising, and I am to teach the necessary tactics and skills in order to support you.
My aim is not only to produce excellent results, but confidence in your own ability to tackle these exams!

I offer tutoring for both the AQA English language and literature exams. This is best suited for students in year 10 or any resitting a specific paper for English.
I offer 45 mins to an hour at a time that suits and suggest 1-3 sessions a week depending on the desired outcome or paper specificity.
Having seen the disparity in grades between language and literature exams, with most students nationally gaining a grade or so higher in the lit exam, I have devised a method for the English language creative writing Q5 (which is half the papers marks) which has vastly improved the language results at my school. I will offer step by step guidance on how to successfully and confidently tackle the question most students loathe!
I have experience teaching multiple Shakespeare texts, Christmas Carol, Animal Farm, An Inspector Calls, as well as Unseen and comparative poetry. Again, I have devised excellent revision guides, techniques and tools that we will go through in the session.
