Tutoring in Ancient Greek, Biblical Hebrew, and Latin for students of all ages

I have studied Ancient Greek with Steven for over a year and I have found him to be an excellent teacher and extremely knowledgeable about Greek and Latin (and the many other languages he knows). When I started classes with him I was very new to the type of Greek we were learning (Homer) and I felt a bit apprehensive, but Steven coached me through our Odyssey readings with patience, keen insight, and humor (he's very personable and not at all some stuffy classicist). I can honestly say that learning with him has honed my Greek skills immensely and given me a much deeper understanding into the language than I ever had before. Steven knows Homer all the way through Modern Greek, and he is constantly giving insight into the development of Greek and even how Greek vocab has influenced other modern languages (he's very good with pointing out cognates and other good tricks to remember Greek vocabulary). I would highly recommend Steven to anyone wanting to study any type of Greek at any skill level.

He has led it and demonstrated excellent grammatical teaching skills and a very high level of proficiency in the language that excels that of many college professors.
