About Veronika
I’m a recent graduate of the University of Manchester and currently living in the UK. I spent most of my life in Russia, where I grew up surrounded by the language and culture. Russian is my native language, and from an early age I was fascinated by its beauty, expressiveness, and complexity.
I enjoy teaching and helping people feel more confident in their language abilities. I understand that learning a language can sometimes feel challenging, so I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and progressing at their own pace.
My aim is not only to help you improve your Russian, but to help you feel confident and natural using it in real-life situations.

My approach to tutoring is highly personalised, supportive, and goal-oriented. I believe that language learning should feel engaging and rewarding, not intimidating.
I combine proven language-learning methods with a flexible teaching style so that each student feels comfortable, motivated, and confident as they progress.

I draw on Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), which focuses on real-life communication and active speaking practice, alongside clear and structured grammar explanations to build a strong foundation in Russian.
For GCSE and A-Level students, lessons are carefully tailored to their specific goals — whether that is achieving top exam results, building confidence in speaking, improving writing skills, or mastering more complex grammar.
For adult learners, lessons are designed around individual interests and objectives. This may include everyday conversation, travel Russian, heritage language development, or professional communication. I always adapt the pace and materials to suit the learner, ensuring steady progress without unnecessary pressure.
Each student receives a structured yet flexible learning plan designed around their strengths, areas for improvement, and personal ambitions.
- Typical Lesson Structure & Length
I offer lessons from 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the student’s needs and preferences.
- Qualifications & Experience
I am a native Russian speaker with over 20 years of language experience. I achieved a 5/5 grade in the Russian government exam in Russian language, consistently received top grades throughout school, and won multiple essay-writing competitions in Russian, demonstrating advanced written proficiency.
With over 5 years of tutoring experience, I have successfully helped both Russian and non-Russian speakers develop their skills, improve their confidence, and achieve their academic and personal goals.
