About Tiffany
I’m a little quirky. I’m full of energy and passion, for life, my pets, and teaching. I love STEM subjects, and am a total nerd about it (yup, my friends make fun of me, hahaha). And more than anything, I love passing this passion on to people who I have the opportunity to tutor.
I’ve been working as a tutor since I was a freshman in college and thought it would be nothing more than a college job; but I fell in love. Seeing a student “click” when things make sense, or that great grade on their exam, makes me so proud of what they have accomplished. I never thought teaching would be my thing when I was younger, but it’s what defines me.
I’m also a total dork in real life who loves video games, my cats, and painting. School can be hard, and it’s worth it, but I think it’s important to take time out to enjoy life as well.

After years of teaching/tutoring, I have learned that the most important thing is for students to feel comfortable. I love explaining the whys and helping others understand what is going on with the material, instead of just having people memorize things. A typical session starts with us going over what we will be covering, and then diving into problems (for classes such as math) or exploring why things work (with biology and natural sciences).
Because I have been tutoring for over 10 years, I have really learned how to make subjects, that may seem boring in the classroom, fun. I love using real-life experiences in the field to help students relate what they are learning to the real world. My goal, for every lesson, is to have the student leave feeling excited and confident in what they have learned.
Currently, I tutor for both high school and college students. Math: basic through calculus; Biology: basic, AP, college (molecular, evolution, ecology, micro, etc.); Chemistry: high school, AP, college, organic.
