About Simone
Learning is one of life's most fundamental skills, and every student learns differently. A successful student understands their personal strengths and potential weaknesses, including the study skills for mastery. Our role is to coach and assist. While we tutor in specific subjects, we also try to teach effective note taking, developing test writing skills, course load management and public speaking. Developing a solid academic foundation paves the road for future accomplishments.
For many students the test taking environment can cause anxiety. This anxiety can result in a score that does not accurately reflect the level of actual achievement. Using practical tools, we strive to help all of our students not only to be proficient at taking tests, but to have the skills necessary for success. The Test Prep and Study Skills option is great for learners with test anxiety, as a positive step in developing the abilities to overcome it.
Our goal is to assist our students to reach their learning objectives, and to become self sufficient learners. Learning to learn is one of the greatest gifts. As said by Albert Einstein, "Education is not the the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think."

Every student is unique, with an individual learning fingerprint! I offer virtual tutoring to all students from elementary to high school. Lesson plans can be anything from early life literacy to senior level math. Whatever a student's level of learning, the main goal is for them to become self sufficient learners. I adapt my lesson plans to mirror the programs my students are already in, and I also have the capacity to develop lesson plans as required. This gives these students the tools they need not just to be successful in a single course, throughout their academic journey.
