About Seyara
I'm a 2nd-year student at UofHerts, studying a BSc in Biological science. Back in school, I've always been told I was really good at explaining concepts to my peers, and I decided to try tutoring in order to help other students and be the tutor I wish I had had when I was younger. I'm a friendly tutor, and I'm here to help you get past those tricky topics and make revision feel like less of a chore :)
Before moving to the UK, I worked at a kindergarten where I engaged with the head teachers and assisted them with teaching, overseeing daycare events, and generally taking care of students aged 2-5 in daycare, playgroup, and kindergarten. I hone necessary teaching and communication skills, took classes in child psychology, and am eager to help!

I aim to personalise my lessons to the student, providing engaging content with an adequate amount of practice questions. We'll use the first session to map out your strengths and areas for growth, and then build custom lesson plans around your specific syllabus. I believe a good mix of quizzes, videos, and visual aids alongside theory helps polish what's learnt so far and also helps master tougher concepts. Therefore, I've planned my sessions out to be tailored to your needs and engaging to ensure you feel confident after.
I balance theory with active practice, guiding you through mock questions so you can confidently apply what you've learnt. My goal as a tutor is not just to help students memorise, but to help them truly understand the material that can serve them long into the future. And finally at the end of the day, I want to create a comfortable, stress-free learning environment where you can feel safe asking questions and making mistakes. A chill tutor session guaranteed :)
