About Nitasha
# About Me
Hi! I’m Nitasha — a PhD-qualified tutor, lecturer, researcher, and lifelong learner who believes that education should be inspiring, practical, and (believe it or not) enjoyable!
I have spent more than 20 years in the world of learning — from teaching university students and postgraduate researchers to designing programmes for professionals and future leaders. Along the way, I have learnt one very important lesson: **everyone can learn — sometimes we just need the right explanation, the right support, and someone who believes in us.**
I have taught students across different countries, cultures, and academic levels, and I love helping learners move from “I’m completely lost” to “Wait… I actually understand this!” moments. My speciality is taking complex ideas, breaking them down into simple pieces, and connecting them to real-life examples (because theories are much easier to remember when they actually make sense!).
My tutoring style is friendly, supportive, and personalised. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all teaching — every student has a different learning style, different goals, and different strengths waiting to be discovered. Whether you need help preparing for exams, improving assignments, understanding difficult concepts, developing research skills, or building academic confidence, I’m here to help.
A little about my background: I hold a PhD in Political Studies, have worked in higher education institutions in South Africa and the United Kingdom, and have experience in leadership, strategy, policy, research, academic writing, and professional development. I have also supervised postgraduate research and helped students navigate the sometimes mysterious world of academic expectations (yes, I understand that academic language can sometimes feel like it was designed to confuse everyone!).
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy exploring new ideas, learning about different cultures, and finding better ways to make education accessible and engaging.
So, whether you are aiming for better grades, stronger confidence, or simply that wonderful moment when everything finally “clicks” — I’d love to be part of your learning journey.

# What Makes My Lessons Unique?
Let’s be honest — learning can sometimes feel like trying to decode a secret language written by someone who really loves complicated words! My mission is to take those “What does this even mean?” moments and turn them into “Ah, now I get it!” breakthroughs.
My lessons are not about memorising information and hoping it magically sticks. They are about understanding, connecting ideas, asking questions, and discovering how knowledge applies to the real world. I believe learning should be a conversation, not a lecture where you quietly wonder when the clock will move faster!
With over 20 years of experience in higher education, leadership development, and professional training, I bring a unique mix of academic expertise and real-world experience into every lesson. Whether we are unpacking a challenging theory, preparing for an assessment, improving academic writing, or exploring professional skills, I focus on making learning practical, engaging, and relevant.
My teaching style is supportive, encouraging, and tailored to you. I believe there are no “silly questions” — only opportunities to understand something better (and sometimes the best questions are the ones everyone else was too afraid to ask!).
Expect clear explanations, real-life examples, thoughtful discussions, a little humour, and plenty of “lightbulb moments.” My goal is not just to help you pass a course — it is to help you become more confident, curious, and capable.
Because learning doesn’t have to be intimidating. It can be inspiring, empowering… and yes, even enjoyable!
