About Harvey
With more than 15 years experience on formal and informal stages on the trombone, Harvey has been steadily taking all in, with a plethora of experience beginning in the traditional settings of jazz and classical music, travelling all the way to more casual environments such as salsa, reggae and funk.
Away from the stage, Harvey is currently broadening horizons into Music Pedagogy, following a journey to bring music to classrooms of NSW schools.
“In the practise room, I’m very friendly, adaptable and openly musical. I play, sing, listen and adapt to all kinds of approaches to music. Whether you are shaping up for AMEB grades, have an important audition coming up, or just want to have a bit of fun, I’ve got plenty to show you. Come along!”
Current undergraduate at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (BMus Music Education, Jazz Major)

As a musical artist, I am a perfectionist who holds a high standard. Performing is a joy for me, and I contemplate and hone all factors so I can be free to move as I need. I enjoy performing in jazz, classical, salsa, and modern music settings, and work with others to make fantastic music.
As a teacher, I understand that music means different things, and that we all grasp at different levels at different times. There are no mistakes, but lessons instead – always. As always, it’s important to agree on and set fair goals to make best use of time and efforts. If you’re hellbent on perfecting your sound on a particular song or style, I can help. If you’re trying to get out of a funk – or into one, I can help there too
