About Robert
I'm a current trainee solicitor in Scotland and a triple Russell Group graduate.
I spent seven years in higher education, studying History and French at the University of Bristol, completing a year abroad at Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3, before completing a Graduate Entry LLB at the University of Edinburgh and the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Glasgow.
Throughout my studies I've experienced a wide range of teaching styles, subjects and assessment methods. This has given me a good understanding of how different students learn and, importantly, how to approach different types of university assessment.
I now work as a trainee solicitor in Scotland. Before starting my traineeship, I also worked as a Legal Research Assistant at Edinburgh Law School, researching case law and secondary sources for academic publications.
I'm friendly, patient and approachable, and I particularly enjoy taking something that initially seems complicated and breaking it down into something clear and manageable.
Having spent so long as a student myself, I know that sometimes the hardest part isn't learning the material — it's knowing how to approach it. That's something I hope to help students with.
