I usually am very process oriented so I would begin by checking your voice range. I then proceed to make a plan on the songs and syllabus that are suitable for your voice range.
I usually give tips you can use which are proven to be helpful. I take classes for an hour and the last10 minutes are only kept for Q&A sessions. This is done to understand the child better and helps me plan my next class accordingly.
