  • When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?

Music has always been a huge part of my life, but my passion truly grew when I picked up the guitar. I was fascinated by how a few simple chords could completely change the mood of a song. What started as learning my favourite tracks quickly became a daily habit, and over time I realised that playing music is one of the best ways to express emotions and connect with people.

My favourite instrument is definitely the guitar because it's incredibly versatile, you can play anything from soft acoustic melodies to energetic rock and modern pop songs.
  • Is there a particular type music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

I enjoy a wide range of music, especially soft rock, indie, acoustic, and classic rock. I can happily listen to artists and bands like John Mayer and Coldplay on repeat because of their songwriting, memorable melodies, and musicianship. I also enjoy bands such as Eagles, Pink Floyd, and Dire Straits, whose music has had a huge influence on the way I approach guitar and teaching.

This mix of styles helps me connect with students who have different musical tastes and goals.
  • Explain to us the most difficult or 'riveting' lesson you could personally give to one of your students.

One of my favourite lessons is teaching students how to play by ear. At first, it feels impossible because many beginners rely only on tabs or sheet music. But once they start recognising chords and melodies by listening, it completely changes the way they approach music.

Seeing a student play one of their favourite songs without needing to read anything is one of the most rewarding moments as a teacher.
  • What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

I think every instrument has its own challenges, but the violin is one of the hardest because it demands precise finger placement, bow control, and a well-trained ear from the very beginning.

That being said, I believe mastering any instrument comes down to consistency and patience rather than natural talent.
  • What are your keys to success?

As a tutor, I believe that lessons should be fun and tailored to each student's goals.

    1.Consistency beats long practice sessions.
2.Focus on enjoying the process, not just the result.
3.Build strong fundamentals before rushing into difficult songs.
4.Practice slowly so you can play confidently later.
5.Never be afraid to make mistakes, they're part of learning.
  • Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

The 3 musicians I would love to meet are -

Arijit Singh – for his incredible ability to bring emotion into every song and connect with listeners through his music.

Ed Sheeran – because he has shown how one guitar and one voice can create unforgettable performances and inspire aspiring musicians around the world.

John Mayer – for his exceptional guitar playing, creativity, and the way he combines technical skill with meaningful songwriting.

I think each of them has a unique perspective on music, and sharing a conversation with them would be both inspiring and a valuable learning experience that I could pass on to my own students.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your musical journey, or your days at 'music school'.

One of the biggest lessons I learned was that progress isn't always obvious. There was a song I struggled with for weeks because one chord transition just wouldn't sound clean. I kept practising a few minutes every day instead of giving up.

One day, I played it without thinking, and it suddenly felt easy. That experience taught me that small, consistent improvements add up, and I try to pass that lesson on to all of my students.
  • What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

I try to make every lesson relaxed, engaging, and focused on the student's goals.

    1.Personalise lessons for each student.
2.Teach both technique and musical understanding.
3.Help students play songs they actually love.
    4.Encourage creativity and confidence.
5.Create a supportive environment where questions are always welcome.

My aim is not just to teach guitar but to help students enjoy music and develop a lifelong passion for it.
