About Amyrose
I am an English teacher based in Dubai. After studying English at Trinity College Dublin and the University of St Andrews, I achieved a First Class Honors in the Professional Masters in Education also from Trinity. Upon graduating from my Masters, I was awarded the Crawford Memorial Prize for achieving the best result in my cohort of over 100 post-primary teachers.
At an international level, I have experience teaching iGCSE and IB English to students from Year 7 up to Year 13. I am a Year 8 Form Tutor. In Ireland, I have experience teaching English to all year groups at Higher and Ordinary Level, including 6th year HL. I have taught all aspects of the English curricula, including Shakespeare, the Comparative, poetry, film studies, and composition/essay writing.

My approach to tutoring is exam-focused yet flexible. As an evidence-based teacher, I implement a holistic, learner-centered, and inclusive approach to tutoring. I use innovative and active methods, tailored to each individual student, in order to reach and empower my students. I recognize the diversity of individual students and that different research-informed teaching approaches must be used in order to teach all students equally and successfully. Revision of key curriculum areas, secrets of exam techniques, and focus on excellent exam paper sample answers ensure that my tuition helps my students achieve their potential in exams.
