About Hollie
I am an enthusiastic and conscientious trainee teacher, specialising in Religious Education.
I have an upper second Class BA hons degree in Criminology.
Whilst at university, I volunteered for Lincolnshire Police, worked at a children's book store, wrote a SAGE book publication and conducted a Youth Justice research project.
GCSE's grades A-C. 5 being A's, 3 B's and 1 C.
A- Levels grades: an 'A*' in Philosophy and Ethics,an 'A' in Psychology and a 'C' in Biology.

My teaching methodology is both academically informed and practically informed. It is inspired by the 4 major learning styles, dependent upon my pupils needs. With this in mind, I provide an inclusive service for ALL abilities, including pupils who struggle academically, socially and structurally I.e those with Speech Language and Communication needs.
I believe as a tutor that I can offer something unique. My father paid for private tutors for myself throughout A- Level for my Biology( a subject I always struggled with) and I found they were not all that helpful. This was mainly due to the fact that they were not fully equipped with in depth knowledge of the Exam Board that my school used. The tutor would sit me down with an entirely different textbook, exam style questions and syllabus to the one that I was familiar with.
Reflecting upon my experience, I beleive it is essential that shaping young minds is done properly I.e with the correct tools, which could make all the difference between a 'C' and an 'A*', between getting a place at Oxbridge or a Polytechnic University. Ultimately, it could be the difference between success and failure.
