My lessons focus on musicality with technique. I start with the basics, creating a strong foundation of understanding how to grip the sticks, read music, and play with confidence.
Students will not only refine their musical abilities, but their practice habits too. Understanding how to approach a new skill is essential to improvement. Students will learn how to approach a difficult task by breaking it down into digestible chunks, managing their mental focus, and staying focused.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, I tailor all of my lesson plans to each individual student. One size does NOT fit all when it comes to education!
No equipment needed, just some sticks to start!

Ben is an amazing drum teacher! As a fellow drummer and music teacher, his lessons are comprehensive and contain lots of useful tips. His years of experience show through his approach to the instrument, and he is not only dedicated to the craft but also to your advancement as a musician.
Ben is a fantastic teacher who is always able to delve into the nitty gritty details. He worked with my daughter on her jazz band audition, and she made second chair in her freshman year!
