About Katelyn
I am a clinical mental health nurse with a strong academic record and extensive real-world experience. I completed Years 10–12 independently and received an early offer to my first-preference university pathway for a double degree. Instead of proceeding immediately, I chose to gain life and work experience before returning to study with clear purpose and direction.
I later completed a Bachelor of Nursing while working multiple jobs and volunteering with several organizations, graduating with a distinction average. I went on to complete two postgraduate qualifications in mental health nursing while working full time, achieving a GPA of 6.0 in both programs. During this time, I was awarded the University Merit Award and the Chancellor’s Commendation.
I now work in a high level, complex service and hold a specialist portfolio in clinical education.
All of this on the background of fragmented early education experiences. This background allows me to support students not only with academic content, but also with study strategies, time management, and real world preparedness —particularly for those balancing work, placements, returning to study after time away, or with complex learning needs.
