About Mia
I am a friendly, enthusiastic medical student at the University of Cambridge. I've always wanted to be a doctor and successfully applied to four medical schools in 2019.
Medicine is undoubtedly a difficult degree, and as such I have developed sophisticated learning and revision methods which I am excited to pass on to fellow future doctors!
I used a variety of tutors throughout A-level and applying to university, and found their input invaluable. I have a good idea of which teaching methods made the biggest difference and can optimise this into my lesson plans.
I achieved 11 A*s at GCSE, and studied Biology, Chemistry, Psychology and Mathematics at A level, receiving A*A*A*A grades.
I enjoy tutoring and working at Cambridge admissions events and open days alongside studying for my degree.

Getting into medical school is no easy feat, with GCSEs, A-levels, entrance exams, personal statements and interviews all playing a part in the success of an applicant. As a top 5% applicant who received offers from every medical school I applied to, I am here to help you achieve this goal.
I teach online to prepare students to answer questions on a computer, as in the entrance exams. We will break down each entrance exam into its component parts, focusing on the skills required in each section, followed by guided walkthroughs of past questions. Once you're comfortable with this, we will move onto timed practice questions so you are prepared for the time-pressures of the exams.
I will work through personal statement drafts, helping you understand exactly what the medical admissions team are looking for. I will also carry out interview preparation sessions, explaining the approach needed to be successful in different styles of interview, followed by a number of mock interviews so you know what to expect in the real thing!
I tutor in 1 or 2 hour sessions weekly, with customised plans for every individual student. These sessions are ideal for students in Sixth Form applying to Medicine at any UK university, or any science degree at Oxford or Cambridge.

Mia is an excellent and patient tutor who has a deep understanding of the university application process. She has a clear direction and provides her students with a structured plan to follow, ensuring that they make the most of their application.
