About Amber
Hi! My name is Amber and I am currently studying Law in university. I took Economics, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, General Paper and Project Work at A levels. During my Junior College journey, I really enjoyed learning about Economics, however, I was unsure of how to apply the concepts learnt in essays, which led to me doing poorly for my JC1 Promo exams. Luckily for me, I ended up finding a great tuition teacher who helped me to understand that doing well for Arts subjects was way more than just regurgitating the concepts learnt in class -- it was about knowing how to apply the content to real-world scenarios like international policies and overseas markets. This also led me to see how General Paper and Economics were interconnected, as both discussed real-world issues and required students to critically analyse these stimuli. Once I understood how to apply the concepts learnt in class to the exam stimulus, I enjoyed these two subjects even more, and I was able to see how many real-world issues are interconnected, which gave me a newfound appreciation for topics like international relations, the judicial system, and foreign policies. I hope to teach other students about these effective exam techniques, so that they can have an equally enjoyable time learning about these subjects :)

I understand that many students have a hectic life in and out of school, thus, I am to find the most effective approach to get students to understand fundamental concepts. Once they are able to recite these concepts easily, I then encourage students to apply their creativity to pool ideas from their own experiences and wider reading, so that they become adept at applying these concepts to the stimulus given in an exam setting.
