About Camila
My name is Camila Arias and I have two associate's degrees, one in Theology and another one in Science.
I was born in the Dominican Republic but I moved and did my studies in Dallas, Texas. I've lived in different states of the US and love to travel so I enjoy learning about different countries and cultures.
My first language is Spanish but I'm fluent expert-level in English.

The TOEFL exam is divided into four parts; reading, listening, speaking, and writing, but I like to add a fifth part... NERVES.
Not only is it essential to train students in the skills they will have to prove themselves in, but also to prepare them mentally on how to deal with the pressure and anxiety they will face during the test.
There are different approaches I take for training my students in each of the skills and I always look for that will make the subjects and prompts of study exciting to get the ball rolling.
The study plan applies to students that are from beginner to advanced levels in their English knowledge.
Reading material, reading comprehension with questions, writing prompts, conversation prompts, listening questions and mock-up tests are all part of the study plan.
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I love working and teaching young people, it is my passion; I have many different interests which makes it easy when it comes to creating prompts, questions, and themes that will motivate my students; lastly, I received a 101 on my test score the very first time I took the TOEFL (good enough to get into any ivy league school).
