About Bridget
Hi, I’m Bridget! I am a third-year Psychology student at the University of Technology Sydney with a High Distinction average. I have a strong academic background in writing, research, and critical thinking, and I’m passionate about helping students improve both their understanding and confidence.
Having completed the HSC myself and now sitting multiple university exams each semester, I understand the stress, anxiety, and time pressure that students face, especially when balancing multiple subjects! This allows me to not only teach content effectively, but also support students with practical strategies for time management, exam technique, and performing under pressure.
I’ve supported younger students through peer mentoring programs and have extensive experience explaining complex ideas in a clear, engaging, and structured way. I pride myself on being organized, reliable, and approachable, creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. My goal is to help students achieve strong results while becoming independent, capable learners.

My approach to tutoring is student-centred, structured, and adaptive. Drawing on my background in psychology, I tailor lessons to how each student learns best, using techniques such as mind-mapping for broad topics, active recall, and spaced practice to strengthen understanding and retention. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps, while also building exam strategy, essay structure, and confidence.
Lessons are typically 1-hour (however, I am flexible with this!), with a balance of concept explanation, guided practice, and independent application. I am a third-year Bachelor of Psychology student at UTS with a High Distinction average, and I have experience supporting peers and younger students with academic work through engaging in Peer Mentor HSC programs.
My lessons are suited to primary and high school students (Years 2–12), particularly in English, Humanities, Psychology, and Society & Culture subjects, as well as general study skills and exam preparation.
