About Daniel
As a 3rd-year MMath student, I have a deep understanding of pure mathematics, statistics, and mechanics. My university-level knowledge means I can explain topics thoroughly and answer questions beyond the curriculum when needed. I'm passionate about helping students see mathematics as logical and achievable rather than intimidating. My Approach to Teaching: I use a structured yet flexible approach to tutoring, with a slight preference for scaffolding practices that help students build understanding step by step. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my methods to suit individual needs while maintaining clear lesson structure. Lesson Format: Each session begins with a conversation about what you're finding challenging - identifying weaknesses is key to making real progress. I'll then assess your overall understanding through targeted questions and examples to pinpoint exactly where we need to focus. From there, we work through problems together using scaffolding techniques, breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps. We will then conclude with a light homework tailored to reinforce what we've covered.
