About Claudia
I have always had a passion for teaching. I have worked at Mathnasium, where I tutored math in varying levels. I currently am a student and took Statics and Dynamics in recent years, so the material as well as style of testing for those courses is fresh in my head. Although I am still in the process of obtaining a degree, my understanding of those courses was deeper and I feel confident in my abilities to relay my knowledge. Since I myself am a student, I know what will actually be beneficial for learning.

As a current student, I understand what methods work for teaching and what does not stick. I like to guide the student to think themselves and come up with answers on their own. Instead of lecturing endlessly, I make sure to properly explain the foundations and then know how to keep lessons interactive to keep the student's mind actually engaged. There will be a lot of active recall used in my lessons, as well as continuous questions to make sure the student is absorbing the information. My lessons in Statics /or Dynamics are for undergraduate students in their first few years of college. I can confidently tutor in Calc 1 and below.
