I have many lesson modules consisting of 3 hours of poetry writing instruction. The first lesson is a discussion about Topic and Style and ways to invent poems. The second lesson approaches forms and possible revisions for the poems. The final lesson is a reading and conversation about what poetic traditions and influences are happening in your work. The first two lessons end with a writing assignment to be completed before the next lesson and the third lesson ends with sending poems out for publication.
