About Diandra
I am a recent college-grad* who is the grateful recipient of two full-ride merit scholarship programs, the Robertson Scholars Leadership Program and the Gates Millennium Scholarship Program. I also earned two selective scholarships for travel.
I believe how you frame your life experiences, express your values and goals--and explain why it all matters--is half the appeal of your application. Because of my own application process and my time as a scholar, I understand what these programs look for in candidates now.
These scholarships changed my life for the better, financially and experientially, and it took the support of other invested people to achieve it.
I want to invest in you and share my knowledge so you have as many opportunities as possible and are not limited as you pursue your future.

I will follow you on your journey from application to interview, wherever you need me most.
1. First, we will cover your goals (what universities and programs are you looking at? What careers pique your interest?) and look at their essay prompts.
Together we will dissect their questions and use techniques* to properly flesh out your answers. We will brainstorm compelling answers based off your life experiences, your strengths, what you are passionate about and be sure to include important details.
2. Each time you write a draft I will read it over and provide comments on what needs trimming, fleshing out and what language will help enhance your point.
3. If there is an interview, I will provide advice about what has helped me and my colleagues in the past. Some of these tips changed the trajectory of an interview and are not exclusive to extroverts.
*These techniques are a mixture of English writing conventions (grammar, strong topic sentences, active language, etc.), Rhetorical modes (such as anecdotes) and voice (personality, individual values, your "why").
