About Ricardo

Though I may have a professional football background and a political science degree, my passion for dance and freedom of expression has been a dream of mine since I was a child.

Naturally my personality has always been to be socially involved with people and help people come out of a "social shell" by fear of not being liked or being mistreated by what a person might do or say to them (social anxiety).

Whether it be someone who is a introvert, has a disability, or just simply struggles getting along with others or fitting in; I have always tried to relate to all persons and be of service to help them through their problem area.

So dance has always been a way for me to help open people up personally to then be in the mood to interact socially. As the expression would be "open heart to have a open mind"

The skills I acquired to teach "Dance Movement Therapy,"(which is in fact a accredited profession) I received through my personal life stories and experiences that naturally developed my dance program "FUD" developed from my travels aboard throughout Europe and South America. As well as various communities throughout the U.S. like Colorado, Texas, Michigan, Georgia, Massachussetts and where I currently reside in Orlando,Fla.

I have always been one to "meet people where they are" make a person understand why it is they feel and think the way they do and then apply that to how they naturally move, not just to make a dance out of it but extend that confident movement of body to make a friend or beautiful experience never made.

The thought of teaching dance never really occurred to me until 2019 where I truly understood that dance is simply basic everyday movement we do on our own that is also basic everyday interactions we have with each other.

And if we can learn to be confident enough to express those basic movements to not only dance better personally for ourselves, but better connect with others on a more social level, then this is a much higher achievement than just dancing cool for someone but know its cool to just be yourself that others can enjoy your new added value to life, which will naturally contribute to theirs being the positive influence people need!
