• Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?

  My passion for programming began when I was in high school when I started discovered it in programming class. I really loved making programs and implementing them in different languages. I knew since then that my future will be related to computers.

• What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?

  I believe that computer programming is a required skill nowadays, as almost every businesses uses software / websites. Technology will be faster, have the ability to accomplish more and everything will become more streamlined to make getting work done easier.

• Explain your expertise, your interest in it and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.

  I'm an experienced website developer, with a passion for solving problems and teaching others how to solve problems. Programming as a skill is an essential part of an evolving world, and it is exceptionally important for our future as a global society. We help create this future by automating processes, collecting data, analysing information, and sharing knowledge to continuously innovate and improve upon existing processes.

• Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you or do you have other role models?

  I definitely have other role models but it is also important to acknowledge their achievements and take some tips from them.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  During one of my courses in university, I have an assignment that I end up submitting at the last minute. This was because I was busy with my other courses at the time, and that it just happened that the due date was close to each other. Luckily, I was just in time to came up with the solution, and eventually managed to meet the deadline.

• What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?

  Take a break. That's the only correct advice in that situation. Trying to crack a problem while you're already tired and frustrated will only lead to more frustration, and eventually burnout.

• What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?

  I play some shooting games, chess, and watch online videos.

• What makes you a Superprof in IT?

  I always put the students first and tailor my teaching methods to ensure that they are not left behind. That is, I believe, what makes me a Superprof.
