About Juan Carlos
I am a musician with a degree in music from UNIRIO and a master's in music education at the same institution (expected to end in 2020.1). Graduation course in sociology at UFF. For 10 years I have worked as a choral conductor and professor of music theory and perception.

I assume that music can be practiced by any individual willing to learn. Classes include 1) Reading and writing the traditional score; 2) Musical perception (identification of chords and harmony, intervals, etc.); 3) Elements for musical appreciation (form, style characteristics, instrumentation, etc.). The idea is that the three items are worked on at the same time. The student will be encouraged to compose and receive guidance for the organization of studies. Assessments to monitor student development, as well as forms of assessment, will take into account the student's goals. All the material used will be supplied as needed. The material includes texts on music theory, music history, solfeggio exercises and excerpts from songs for analysis.
