About Me Hello! My name is Goh Hong Yi, and I am a BA TESOL graduate from the University of Nottingham Malaysia with hands-on experience teaching learners of different ages and needs. I chose to teach because I believe that language is more than just communication—it’s a bridge to opportunities, confidence, and self-expression. I genuinely enjoy seeing growth in my students and take pride in their progress. I feel at my best when I can inspire others and make a positive impact on their learning journey. Teaching Techniques & Methodology Student-centered approach that adapts to each learner’s style and goals. A balance of interactive discussions, practice exercises, and real-life examples to make learning meaningful. For younger learners: games, visuals, and storytelling to make lessons enjoyable. For exam-focused students: practice papers, strategies, and feedback to boost results. Typical Lesson Length Standard lessons are usually 1 hour, but I can adjust depending on age, focus, and learning needs. Qualifications & Experience BA (Hons) TESOL graduate from the University of Nottingham Malaysia. Hands-on teaching experience with a wide range of age groups, from young learners to secondary students. Skilled in lesson planning, classroom management, and creating engaging learning materials. Who My Lessons Are For Children (primary & secondary) who want to strengthen their English foundation. Teenagers preparing for exams (SPM, IGCSE, or school assessments). Adults looking to improve communication, grammar, or writing for work, study, or personal growth.
