About Sharlin
I'm energetic, I love my profession, and I teach from the heart. I love having a good laugh and not taking things too seriously. Teaching Early years children is like breathing fresh air of positivity to me. Being a mother of a grade 2 toddler, I can make myself acceptable to children easily.
I teach with clear understanding of the topics at medium pace in order to make students comfortable and familiar with all the academic terms.
Students feel comfortable with me asking any question they want. I also have experience teaching in different age groups of learners.

Perfect! My study of Gitanjali has often been halting and fragmentary. Now, meeting with Sharlin almost daily for an hour, we have worked through the first twenty poems in a way that feels both steady and deeply productive. We have approached each poem with honesty, with ontological seriousness, and with a disciplined humility, allowing the meaning to emerge rather than forcing it into preexisting frames.
Words that might initially appear simple—alo (light), akash (sky), pran (life-breath), shanti (peace), ananda (joy) open inward to states of mind. In learning them, I have felt a reorientation.
This shift echoes something formative—those long hours of my childhood when my father would sit in quiet absorption, Tagore’s songs playing continuously. At the time, I experienced this as a kind of ambient constancy, something like a field in which the day unfolded. Now, returning to these poems with greater deliberation, I recognise that it was a slow erosion of the compulsion to grasp.
What I then absorbed passively, I now approach with intention. Yet the destination is curiously the same: a state in which listening deepens into a kind of seeing, and seeing resolves into a silent, self-luminous awareness that needs no confirmation.
When I dwell in this register—even briefly—there is a noticeable shift in the quality of experience. Thought loses its density; it no longer insists on occupying the center. Emotion, too, becomes less possessive, less entangled in narrative. What remains is a kind of lucid stillness.
In this sense, returning to Gitanjali has also been a return to those early, wordless experiences shaped by my father’s listening.- I didn't start the lesson yet but hopefully we will have a fruitful learning experience.Sharlin's response :
