About Rachel
Hello, my name is Rachel Harding. I am a tenured Engineering Lecturer in Technological University Dublin. My background is in Physics, obtaining a 1st Class Honours degree in 2016. I have over 8 years of experience teaching physics, mathematics, chemistry, and engineering both on undergraduate programmes, and I have supervised 6 Masters students to completion.
I have also completed a PhD in Junior Cycle science teaching and learning approaches, which I will be submitting shortly! Therefore I have a keen understanding and expertise in science education teaching and learning, both from an experience and research point of view.

8 years experience teaching leaving certificate level studies to students across the years, that I was privileged to help out along the way. With my varied experience in academia, I have honed my skills in teaching advanced courses for undergraduate level 8 programmes in physics, mathematics, engineering, and chemistry-based courses.
My approach is a student-centred teaching style. The individual differences in student learning styles, I think is particularly important to take into account when choosing a suitable grinds-based tuition solution. I offer a hands-on approach, encouraging students to think aloud, and solve problems with the guidance of an experienced instructor. I tend to focus less on memorisation, and more on understanding, building the key concepts that underpin the science and mathematical-based curriculum at Junior and Senior Cycle.
