About Larisa
Hi there! I’m Larisa, a native English speaker from South Africa and an experienced university-level tutor since 2022.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and have tutored university students in Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Plant Science. My scientific background has taught me how to explain complex topics clearly and supportively. I aim to become a university lecturer one day, which is why I love helping others develop strong English skills – the foundation for academic and professional success.
I’m also learning Dutch myself, so I truly understand the patience and consistency required to master a new language. That’s why I’m passionate about teaching English to adults who want to improve their conversation, vocabulary, business English, interview skills, or prepare for exams like the Duolingo English Test.
