About Leora
In addition to holding a Master and Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Leora is an avid performer blending styles of singing like Jazz, Folk, Musical Theatre, and Opera. . Leora’s favorite performed roles include Grandma and Morticia in The Addams Family, Old Lady in Bernstein’s Candide, The Witch in Hansel and Gretel, Prince Charmant in Cendrillon (Cinderella), and Dido in Dido and Aeneas.
In her free time, Leora loves to throw pottery and discover new foodie places to eat in the city!

Leora has been teaching voice across all ages and styles of singing since 2016. She believes that vocal expression is about more than making a pretty sound but rather using the whole body as an instrument
Learning to sing is like learning how to drive a car. You have to know the basics before getting behind the wheel.
Leora strives to create a compassionate environment where each student will feel comfortable having their own, unique, and personal musical development journey that creates a strong bond between mind, body, and soul.
She will help you to understand the anatomy behind your voice and clear any mystery you may have about singing.

I've been singing my whole life, and Leora is the best teacher I have worked with. She has helped me understand my voice and to work with it, rather than trying to force it to be something it's not. She has a talent for explaining vocal technique and concepts - so many different metaphors, one is guaranteed to stick with you! I'm now singing with much more ease and freedom than ever before because she's taught me how to connect with my body and my breath. I highly recommend her to singers of any level!
