About Matthew
I’m a very passionate musician and songwriter. I produce and write for music styles from classical to funk. From African music to electro. You name it. I’m really good at teaching students as I’m really good at getting students to understand music and not just their instruments.
And therefore their instrument becomes the tool to explore music and not just a tool to learn how to play.

All students are unique and have their own strengths and weaknesses. I use many approaches to learning but always what the students needs. I also 50/50 split what must be done and using pieces students love in order to teach the techniques and theory needed. This is aimed at keeping them engaged and able to show their friends songs they like too. Keeping students inspired is the true job of a teacher as well having fun!
